Lenovo upgraded Intel's ThinkPad E line to the latest chip
Lenovo recently upgraded to Haswell chip for laptops for ThinkPad E Series businessmen, besides Nvidia discrete graphics card. The two models of ThinkPad E440 and E540 will be sold in the near future with prices of 860 USD and 834 USD respectively.
In terms of design, the new E Series is built on the traditional form factor of ThinkPad. It runs Windows 8 and is equipped with Haswell chip with options up to 4-core chip and Nvidia discrete graphics card. Hard drive options up to 1 TB and 16 GB RAM. The E440 and E540 have 14-inch and 15.6-inch screens with anti-glare and touch screen options.
The E440 and E540 were released to replace the ThinkPads E431 and 531. Lenovo's previous ThinkPad E Series machines were praised for their keyboard, sound and battery life. Therefore, Lenovo upgrades this time are expected to do even better.
