Intel updates the CPU price list for PCs with X 12 series of chips

The information update below on Intel's pricing will give us a better idea of what the company will charge for the upcoming 12-core processor as well as its performance. Let's see more details!

Recently, Intel has updated the price list for desktop processors to refresh the core X chip line. The board now includes a 12-core model, the Core i9-7920X costs $ 1,189 when sold in August. . Other details are added to the 12-core item including the basic clock speed, cache number and some other information.

Below is an updated list of core X processor series.

Intel's latest pricing information has not been announced yet. The remaining three processors include: Core i9-7940X, Core i9-7960X and Core i9-7980XE. Intel will certainly continue to provide more information until the upcoming launch date of the developer.

However, Intel may also wait until AMD's two Ryzen Threadripper chips are released for PC screens in August. AMD 16-core 1950X will be 3.4 GHz and cost $ 999 while the 1920X model. 12 cores will be 3.5 GHz and cost 799 USD. It is also said that CPU clock speed wars will be very interesting when starting next month.

AMD's new 1950X processor will have the same number as Intel's upcoming Core i9-7960X chip, but the clock speed is substantially higher while lower prices. The same is true when comparing AMD's 12-core 12-core processor with Intel's upcoming Core i9-7920X. It is hopeful that AMD will only provide 2 Threadripper chips.

Also see the comparison table below, but keep in mind that 3 unpublished Intel processors will not be released before October, so prices and speeds may change.

Comparison table of chips from AMD and Intel.

Another factor we want to point out in the battle between Intel and AMD this fall is that two Ryzen Threadripper chips will support up to 64 PCI Express streams at launch. Currently we do not have any information regarding Intel's i9-7980XE, i9-7960X and i9-7940X chips on this issue. However, the i9-7920X and i9-7900X will support up to 44 PCI Express streams, i9-7820X and i9-7800X chips support up to 28 threads.

The speed of Intel's latest i9-7920X processor is still unknown on the price list. All 10 cores of the i9 7900X chip now reach 4.30 GHz, but there is no clear indication that the 12 cores in the i9-7920X will reach the same peak speed. Perhaps we can only consider comparing these two processors when the i9-7920X CPU hits the PC market in August.
