Intel launches a powerful 9th generation Core i9 for gamers
At Intel's new hardware launch event, the company introduced Core i9 (9th Generation), the final processor for the Core i series and the more advanced line of Core i7 processors, dedicated to gaming. Player.
These 9th generation chips are still manufactured based on Intel's 14nm process, not 10nm as previously leaked information.
Core i9-9900K has 8 cores and 16 streams, clock speed is 3.6 GHz and can accelerate to 5.0 GHz. According to Intel, this is the most powerful processor so far that can help gamers with modern games in the world.
In addition to Core i9 processors, Intel also introduced two 9th generation Core i5 (i5-9600K) and Core i7 processors (i7-9700K) at the event. Specifically:
- Core i5 (i5-9600K) has 6 cores and 6 streams, the basic clock speed is 3.7 GHz and can be overclocked to 4.6 GHz.
- Core i7 (i7-9700K) with 8 cores and 8 threads, basic clock speed is 3.6 GHz and can overclock up to 4.9 GHz.
These new processors have been updated with software to fix errors including Meltdown Variant 3 and L1 Terminal Fault from the previous generation.
Starting from October 19, Intel will officially sell these new processors. From now on, users can set them at specific prices as follows: Core i9-9900K - 488 USD, Core i7-9700K - 373 USD, Core i5-9600K - 262 USD.
