Improvements that fans want to see in Days Gone 2

Days Gone doesn't really satisfy fans as an exclusive PlayStation 4 game, there's so much to improve.

Compared to the previous exclusive titles on the PlayStation, as well as the expectations of the fans, it is clear that Days Gone has not done its job well. This is not a bad game, but it still has a lot of room for improvement. I feel like SIE Bend Studio is a bit rushed in developing this game. However, Days Gone still has a lot of opportunities to become one of the popular gaming brands, as long as the developer is hard to improve the limitations from the first part of Days Gone 2.

Backward view at the touch of a button

Adding a function to look back with a button is a basic feature that every game must have, but Days Gone seems to have forgotten this detail. It makes the gameplay experience, especially while driving, a little more inconvenient. You will have to turn the analog stick back to see the camera, then you have to adjust the camera up front vision. This is extremely annoying in emergency situations.

If assuming Days Gone is available on a PC, this feature may not be necessary because the wrist mouse will bring relatively fast panning camera speed, but rotating the camera on the Console is slower because of the finger adjustment. which is much harder than the wrist. So I hope Days Gone 2 will have support for the back-facing feature with just one button.

Limit the repetition of tasks

A problem that so many open world games encounter; It's a game that has too many repetitive missions. And Days Gone is also bogged down in this limitation, even this is the most annoying point that gamers complain about the game. Although the game has a fair amount of time, most of the main missions have the same structure. Fortunately, Days Gone has side quests and side activities to remove the gauze, but that is not enough for fans to have a more positive view of the game. Better and more diverse task redesign, especially with key tasks, is what we want to see in Days Gone 2.

Add more tactical options to the Freaker crowd

Fighting Freaker is clearly the most attractive point of Days Gone. I hope SIE Bend Studio will continue to leverage and improve it in Days Gone 2. I hope facing the Freakers will require more tactics. That means the player has more options on how to approach the zombies. It can add more options to take advantage of the environment, using homemade traps. The diversification of fighting gameplay with the Freaker will somewhat limit the disadvantages of over-repetitive tasks, creating greater replay value.

Survival factors are made more harsh

Although Days Gone is a survival game, I personally feel that the survival factor has not been fully exploited by SIE Bend Studio. And I want Days Gone 2 to push up the harsh conditions, giving players a sense of what it means to live in a world full of Freaker. For example, Days Gone 2 can limit ammunition, or create more negative effects from nature. The push of harsh elements will make the post-apocalyptic scene of Days Gone more perfect and meaningful.

Talk more about Deacon's past

One of the things that I really like about Days Gone is Deacon. The game has shown us Deacon is one of the most interesting protagonists. You really are an attractive, trustworthy and very in-depth person, worth our investigation. In Days Gone 2, I look forward to digging into Deacon's past. Along with that, I also hope that the past of Sarah, the woman whom Deacon loves most, will also be dug deeper in this SIE Bend Studio.

Deacon motorcycles will have more battle mechanisms

In Days Gone, motorcycles should be something to focus on adding the most interesting features. However, it seems only to help players move or create bonus points if the player has impressive acrobatics. Although gamers can upgrade vehicles, change colors quite detailed, but it does not seem enough in Days Gone. I would like to see motorcyclists play a more important role in combat, than just moving and beautifying.

In Days Gone 2, SIE Bend Studio is able to include more upgrade options for weapons attached to the vehicle, as well as mechanisms to build items attached to the vehicle to support the main character to fight. Moreover, these options must have a certain role in the game, not just added for yes. Each weapon attached to the car is to ask the player to calculate meticulously.

Character movement is smoother

Although no one can deny that the graphics of Days Gone are really beautiful, it seems that the developer has been too focused on the environment, the surrounding scenery of the game, but forgot to improve the animation of the characters as well as hordes of monsters. The movement of the characters is still rough, not so natural. Freaker also seems to have only one movement, applied to all types, so players can hardly distinguish them from afar.

Days Gone 2 will most likely be an exclusive game on PlayStation 5 and SIE Bend Studio will have a lot of things to improve, especially the rough movement in the game. Only that, the game deserves the strong configuration that PS5 brings.

Conclusion

Days Gone is a brand new PlayStation. Obviously, this game needs to improve a lot if it wants to become a big exclusive game brand in the future, when The Last of Us or Uncharted turn out behind the scenes. This game has too many things to improve, but it also comes with more opportunities to develop into an important exclusive series for the PlayStation. All I listed above is my personal desire for Days Gone 2. I really want to see this brand growing more and more in order to follow The Last of Us on the topic of survival. Apocalypse.
