HP launched netbook using Fusion processor, supporting LTE

On Tuesday, January 4, 2011, Hewlett-Packard announced netbooks using the latest broadband graphics and mobile technology, to enhance the power of notebook computers (netbooks).

The Netbook Pavilion DM1 is lightweight, with an 11.6 '(~ 29 cm) screen, utilizing AMD's new Fusion processor (Advanced Micro Devices), which incorporates a graphics chip and a top-end CPU.

Fusion Chip has just been announced by AMD on January 4, 2011, allowing watching Full HD 1080p movies. HP's netbook is capable of streaming Full HD 1080p movies, but because HP uses its own HD decoder, it will quickly drain battery power.

Fusion chip, graphics processor shares resources with the top CPU silicon base, reducing the graphics card added. Pavilion DM1 works for about 10.5 hours using a solid-state drive, 9.5 hours if using a traditional hard disk HDD. Cara Baez said that if using many HD applications, of course, it will consume a lot of battery power.

The Pavilion DM1 netbook is capable of LTE mobile broadband (LTE has a faster data transfer rate than 3G). HP declined to say LTE network providers and the company said it would provide more information on January 6, 2011. In December 2010, Verizon Wireless launched LTE networks in 38 cities in the United States.

This notebook computer, with a 750GB hard drive, webcam ., will be released worldwide on January 9, 2011, priced at about $ 449 ($ 449, ~ VND 8,980,000) depending on the configuration.

HP also upgraded the Envy 17 and Pavilion DV6, DV7 laptops (MTXT) with chip generation based on Intel's Sandy Bridge architecture.
