How to Detect hidden cameras in hotel rooms
Visual observation
Look for suspicious signs. The camera can be hidden but the lens can only be camouflaged.
Locate where the camera can be hidden at home/work. Start your search from the most likely places like the bedroom, living room, especially near valuables.
Items commonly used to hide cameras inside include books, smoke detectors, house plants, tissue boxes, stuffed animals, and electrical outlets.
Check cameras in less noticeable items. For example, gym bags, bags, DVD cases, air filters, glasses, Lava oil drop convection lights, buttons or crosshead screwdrivers.
Watch out for a small hole, no bigger than this "O," that can sometimes be in the wall facing the room.
Observe the mirrors that appear to be there for no reason. Hidden cameras are really not easy to find, so you should be on the lookout for the possibilities.
Watch for and avoid hidden cameras in public places.
Find areas that can provide the best views. Usually at the top of buildings or on empty, unobstructed positions.
Look for domes made of glass or clear plastic, especially colored ones. Public cameras are usually installed behind protective screens. If these objects (mirrors or translucent glass) are placed facing your room, then the chances of a camera being installed behind it are very high.
Apply camera detection technique
Buy a wireless camera detector online or at your local electronics store.
Use a camera detector to scan the room you suspect.
Use cell phones. Make a call and run the phone around the room or suspicious object. Your phone will rattle and crackle when near a product that emits an electromagnetic field.
Not all phones can do that, but if you notice your phone hums or hums when near the speaker or when a call comes in, it will detect the camera.
Dismantle the device. If you suspect you are being watched or your privacy is invaded by someone with psychological problems, notify the authorities immediately.
Coordinate with authorities to locate the video lead box. Look for a simple metal box with a connector to plug in the cables.
Do not spy on others because if they find out, you will be sued!
