How to delete a Zalo account on your phone, cancel the deletion of a Zalo account.

If you no longer want to use Zalo or want to change your Zalo phone number to register a completely new Zalo account, you can permanently delete your Zalo account. After you delete your Zalo account, all content and data belonging to your account will be gone, and others will not be able to find your Zalo account. Below is a guide on how to permanently delete your Zalo account.

Step 1:

On the Zalo interface, users tap the Profile icon at the bottom. Next, in the new interface, select Account and Security .

Step 2:

On the interface shown below, users scroll down and select the "Delete account" option to proceed.

 

Step 3:

To delete your Zalo account on your phone, tap the "Delete account" button . Then, enter the phone number registered with your Zalo account, enter the reason for deleting this Zalo account, and tap "Continue" below.

Step 4:

You need to enter your Zalo account password and then click Delete account below. Zalo will then ask if you are sure you want to permanently delete your Zalo account; click Yes to proceed .

 

You will then receive a notification that your Zalo account will be permanently deleted within the next 48 hours. After 48 hours, your Zalo account will completely disappear, and others will no longer be able to contact you. Therefore, you should back up your Zalo data before deleting it.

Within 48 hours of confirming the deletion of their Zalo account, users can still cancel the deletion to recover their Zalo account if they wish.

Step 1:

We click back on the Account and Security section and then select Delete account below. You will then see a countdown timer to permanently delete your Zalo account. To cancel the deletion of your Zalo account, click Cancel account deletion to recover your Zalo account.

Step 2:

Zalo will then ask if you are sure you want to cancel/delete your account. Click Confirm to proceed. This will successfully cancel/delete your Zalo account. The system will also not count down to delete your Zalo account.
