How to choose troops in the game Age of Empires

(1): Choose troops

There are 16 types of troops for you to choose from. Usually when soloing or playing in a team, players often choose Random mode (Random selection of troops) for fairness, except when soloing or playing in a team with a certain type of troop (like Shang for example), then everyone chooses Shang.

(2): Choose Army Color: There are 8 colors in total

(3): Choose your Team - There are 4 Teams in total

(4): Go to map settings

(5): Ready for battle or not ready

(6): Start the match

(7): Exit the waiting room

Map settings in Empire

After successfully selecting the army, you continue to follow these steps:

(8): Please note to select Random Map

(9): Map Size section : Includes size options for the map including: Tyni, Small, Medium, Large, Huge and Gigantic.

In there:

- Large: This is a map often used in solo or 2-2 genres

- Huge: Map Usually used to play with the genre of each side having 3 gamers participating (Sometimes 2vs2 matches with R also choose Huge map)

Gigantic: This is a map for 4vs4 genre: Each side has 4 pieces and the map needs to be large enough and real enough to develop.

(10): Victory Condition: Includes 4 modes: Standard, Conquest, Time limit, Score

- This is also one of the important items in how to set up the map in the empire, Conquest mode is the most commonly chosen mode in each game. When in Conquest mode, the player only wins when the opponent surrenders or must destroy all of the opponent's troops and facilities.

(11): Map Type: Map types in AOE include maps: Small Islands, Large Islands, Costal, Highland, Continetal, Mediterranean, Hill Country, Narrows.

- Here, the Hill Country map along with Large Islands is often installed in each AOE match. With the Hill Country map being familiar to the Vietnamese AOE community as well as around the world

(12): Starting Age: The game's era settings include the following eras: Default, Nomad, Stone Age, Tool Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age.

- In this section, the setting is selected as Default mode: Gamers will have to perform tasks starting from the Stone Age . to the Iron Age.

(13): ResourcesDefault: includes Medium and High modes

(14): Diffculty Level: Choose the difficulty level for the player here is the computer (Computer) in each match including the modes: Easiest, Easy, Moderatem Hard, Hardest

-Usually when playing with Computer, players often choose Hard or Hardest mode and it also depends on the number of Computers selected. This mode does not affect the game match between gamers as well as the entire process of installing maps in the empire.

(15): Path Finding: Includes Default, Medium, High modes

(16): Population Limit: Choose the total number of military and civilian units produced in each match including the parameters: 25. 50. 75. 100. 125. 150. 175. 200

- In each match, players usually set the parameters at 200 civilian and military units.

(17): Enable Cheating: If you choose this mode, players can completely get the empire game commands (Often called cheat commands in empire). Normally, only when playing with the computer, gamers will use empire game commands to compete, but when playing online with friends, if you use cheat codes, you will be considered cheating.

(18): Fixed Positions: This is a mode that needs to be noted during the installation process. When installing, you need to choose this mode because then, the system will arrange and assign the geographical positions of allied troops as well as the house position for each gamer. Many matches are stopped and have to be reset when the gamer does not choose this mode.

(19): Full Tech Tree: If you choose this mode, you will have resources without having to do anything, and there will be a lot of them.

(20): Reveal Map: light map selection mode: With this option, you will fight in a light map, no need to scout like in a dark map

(21): After setting up, select OK to save the settings.

(22): If there are no settings, select Cancer to exit the installation mode.

Choosing troops as well as setting up the map are always the first operations in each Empire match. Setting up a good, accurate map will help the match go smoothly, without certain pauses and leading to the cancellation of that match.
