Google stopped working with Huawei, the phone will not be updated Android, YouTube and Gmail cannot be accessed

Recently, Google officially withdrew Huawei's license to cooperate and use Android after the US president signed a decree banning all US telecommunications carriers from using Huawei devices. This is a major blow to China's phone brand.

Prior to that, Huawei had also faced many harsh investigations of suspicion that their devices could be used by the Chinese government to spy on important US information. Since 2018, US intelligence agencies have also recommended that US users should not use Huawei and ZTE devices.

Google's decision dealt a critical blow to Huawei products.

The license to cooperate and use Android is withdrawn, which means that Huawei will not receive software transfers, hard and tech support from Google. It can be understood simply that Huawei's future smartphones will not be supported by Google to update Android software in the near future, Chinese technology firms will have to develop themselves. At the same time, Huawei smartphones selling in the international market will not be able to access Google Play, Chrome, YouTube or Gmail services .

For current Huawei users, they will not be able to update to the newer Android operating system (if available) but can still download and use the app available on Google Play Store.

Google said: "Google Play and security programs from Google Play Protect will continue to work on current Huawei devices."
