The US easing the ban on Huawei for another 90 days shows that if Huawei's supply chain changes, it could have immediate consequences. However, the purchase of parts and components of the US to produce new products without permission from the US government of the Chinese technology company is still limited.
On May 15, US President Donald Trump signed a decree banning US technology companies from using foreign telecommunications equipment that the Ministry of Trade considered to be a risk to national security. On the same day, Huawei and 68 branches were put on the list of parties banned from buying parts and components from the US company, without the approval of the US government.
On May 20, Google announced that it had withdrawn its license to use Android, while manufacturers including Qualcomm, Intel and Broadcom stopped providing components to Huawei.
