The main motive for the above websites being attacked by the Anonymous group was obviously due to the refusal to support services for Assange Julian, the owner of Wikileaks. These systems have led to a series of activities to stop supporting Julian. Sites, such as 4chan, had thoughts of disrupting these web services under the heading ' Operation Payback ', roughly interpreted as 'payback activity'.

Operation Payback was launched in the form of DDoS denial of service attacks (Distrubuted Denial of Service) against sites such as PayPal and Mastercard, which caused the servers of the websites and forums to become paralyzed.

During the past weekend, several arrests were made, including a 19-year-old boy and even a boy of only 15 years old. The tool the group uses, called Loic, allows users to bombard websites but not reveal IP addresses.

According to the BBC 's report, five captured men including the ages of 15, 16, 19, 20 and 26 were identified as standing behind Anonymous attacks on PayPal website. It is expected that subsequent arrests will take place in the coming days in many different countries.
