Fujifilm's Affordable 100MP Medium Format Camera Coming Soon?
Users may soon have another affordable option to own a 100MP sensor camera from Fujifilm.
According to a recent rumor from Fuji Rumors, Fujifilm may launch a successor to the GFX100S, its cheapest 100MP Medium Format camera, called the GFX100S II.
The GFX100S II is expected to be more competitively priced than the GFX100 II, which is Fujifilm's high-end 100MP Medium Format sensor camera. However, detailed information about the price and specifications of the GFX100S II has not been revealed yet.
The GFX100S is getting a successor with many improvements.
The GFX100S II is expected to feature some of the latest technology from the GFX100 II, including a new processor, faster burst shooting speeds, and an improved autofocus system. However, it will not feature a stacked sensor like the GFX100 II.
In terms of design, the GFX100S II will likely retain the familiar square shape of the GFX100 series. However, some Fujifilm fans hope that the company will apply a retro design with exposure dials like the X100 series to the GFX100S II.
Fujifilm has yet to release any official information about the GFX100S II. However, with the success of the GFX100S, many people hope that the GFX100S II will be released soon, helping more photographers access 100MP Medium Format technology at a more affordable price.
