First look at the Sony Xperia 1 VII
High-resolution renders of the Sony Xperia 1 VII have leaked revealing a similar design to its predecessor.
The highlight of the Xperia 1 VII design this time is the thicker camera bump, which may indicate upgraded hardware. Specifications such as the 6.5-inch screen, side fingerprint sensor and headphone jack remain the same.
Although Sony is no longer a smartphone giant, fans still have reason to be excited as this phone promises to bring many attractive features. The product is said to be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12-16 GB RAM options and Sony's signature triple camera system, including a periscope zoom lens camera.
As the renders show, the Xperia 1 VII doesn't look much different from the Xperia 1 VI, but the design still retains Sony's signature aesthetic. The phone has flat edges with a slight chamfer, and the controls are still on the side. The camera module appears to be slightly larger than the previous model, which could mean that the sensor or lens has been upgraded.
The dimensions of the Xperia 1 VII are 161.9 x 74.5 x 8.5mm, compared to the 162 x 74 x 8.2mm dimensions of the Xperia 1 VI. Although Sony has not announced an official launch date, many sources say that this phone will be released this year.
In terms of specifications, the Xperia 1 VII will retain the same 6.5-inch display and fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. The phone will also feature dual front-facing speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack - a rare feature in smartphones these days. The Xperia 1 VII's triple camera system will use Exmor T sensors for all rear cameras.
As for power, the Xperia 1 VII is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, with a base 12GB RAM and 16GB option, along with 256GB and 512GB of internal storage. The expected price of this phone is $ 1,399 (VND 36 million) and could be launched next May.
