Sony's 4K 2018 TV focuses on OLED screens, HDR mode and Android platform
Last year Sony started the new year by adding OLED screens and HDR modes to its products, then upgrading to the Android TV platform.
In 2018, the company continued to develop its latest 4K TV basics with a few significant tweaks. They will again provide OLED TVs with dimensions of 55 and 65 inches, this time with an updated version of the audio broadcast technology directly from the display.
The A8F "Acoustic Surface" audio technology TV will upgrade the Crystal Sound version with support for 3.1 audio channels instead of 2.1 like A1E's. There is no new information about prices for this product, last year's models were sold for $ 5,000 and $ 6,500, and their prices are currently around $ 3,000 / $ 4,000, slightly lower.
Because these OLED TVs are too expensive, Sony still offers other options such as an LCD screen with the X900F series. Inside this LED screen is also integrated X1 Extreme Processor chip.
The A8F model incorporates the new "X-Motion Clarity" technology to reduce blur when moving quickly without reducing image brightness. The X900F will be available in 49, 55, 65, 75 and 85 inch sizes later this year.
All Sony high-end TVs are still Dolby Vision HDR standard, run Android TV and will integrate with Google Assistant. Like previous Sony television models, voice command service can be activated with controls. This TV series can also be controlled by smart devices such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home or Sony's own smart speakers.
