Facebook and Instagram remove all restrictions on Mr. Trump's account

Former US President Donald Trump's Facebook and Instagram accounts have had all restrictions removed after being locked in 2021.

Recently, Meta announced that it would restore all rights to use Donald Trump's social network account to "reflect the new status of the Republican presidential candidate" because "the American people should be heard." persons nominated for this position on the same basis".

Previously, after the Capitol Hill riot on January 6, 2021, Meta deleted former President Trump's entire account. This is because Mr. Trump posted a video supporting those in the riot and calling them "great patriots." Therefore, Meta believes that he "seriously violated" the community guidelines and standards of Facebook and Instagram.

Two years later, Meta restored Mr. Trump's accounts but applied stricter restrictions than regular accounts.

Meta's removal of all restrictions on Mr. Trump's account over the weekend means the former president can now use social media accounts completely normally.

Twitter, currently X, also deleted and completely banned Donald Trump's account after he posted three tweets immediately after the riot that were labeled inciting violence. But when billionaire Elon Musk bought this social networking platform, he reopened his account.

After being banned from popular social networking platforms, the former president created a new social network, Truth Social. Mr. Trump still mainly uses his own social network to make statements even though the ban on other social networks has been eased.
