Explanation in strange details on iPhone 12

The other part of the color seen on the side of the iPhone during the morning event of October 14 may only appear on the version sold in the US market.

'iPhone 12 is the most worth buying version' Experts say iPhone 12 will continue the success of the iPhone 11 thanks to the reasonable price. This product also has the same design and configuration as the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max.

During the announcement of the iPhone 12 on October 14, many people noticed that there was a small vertical strip on the side of the machine. Apple does not specify what it is, how it works.

The strange detail on the iPhone 12 is actually the placement of the 5G antenna. Photo: Apple.

According to The Verge, this detail stems from the fact that the iPhone 12 models all support 5G mmWave, including the mini version. The device needs a special window to catch a new type of wireless signal. Apple deliberately created a vertical strip on the camera body, making it easy for users to see, avoiding placing hands on the position, ensuring maximum signal strength.

Interestingly, though, it doesn't seem like the iPhone 12 in every market has this feature. When comparing iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max images on US and UK sites, The Verge found that only products sold in Apple's home country had grooves along the body.

The Verge suggests that the iPhone 12 may not yet support 5G mmWave outside of the US market. Check the information on Apple's website, the new device series is compatible with the n260 (39 GHz) and n261 (28 GHz) bands. Outside of the US, not many parts of the world support this frequency.

However, for the time being, 5G mmWave is not that important. Despite having a higher connection speed than the Sub-6GHz, mmWave has not yet fully covered. According to The Verge's description, even outdoors, users may not get high-speed waves when moving from one street to another.

Even if you're living next to the 5G mmWave hotspot, you don't have to worry about your iPhone 12 having no marked spot. The fact is that Apple has done a great job developing mobile antennas over the years after having met with the scandal on the iPhone 4.

Phones don't depend on one band for wireless connectivity either, 5G mmWave merely complements the other frequencies.

In addition to 5G for all versions, Apple also brought a series of improvements to the iPhone 12 such as the OLED Super Retina XDR display, the A14 Bionic chipset, the square design and the addition of color versions.
