ASUS ROG Phone III will be the first smartphone equipped with Snapdragon 865 Plus chip, with 5G support, released in July 2020.
According to a report in China, ASUS is preparing to launch the 3rd generation of ROG Phone gaming smartphones, around Q3 2020. It is likely that the launch date will also be in July, just like ROG. Phone II last year. However, due to concerns about the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, it is also possible that the launch date will be delayed by several months.
ASUS ROG Phone III will inherit many points of the older brother of ROG Phone II, but there will be a big difference is the processor chip. Accordingly, ASUS ROG Phone III will be the first smartphone equipped with Snapdragon 865 Plus chip. This is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 865 chip, which Qualcomm has not yet officially launched.

However, the difference between Snapdragon 855 Plus and Snapdragon 855 is only 4% of performance, and the CPU clock speed is increased from 2.84Ghz to 2.96GHz. So this year, fans are expecting a significant performance improvement of the Snapdragon 865 Plus upgraded version.
ASUS ROG Phone III will have an OLED screen with a frequency of 120Hz, 6.6 inches, 6,000 mAh battery. These parameters are quite similar to the older brother of ROG Phone II. However, besides that, ROG Phone III will support 5G technology.
