Admire the united ants 'build a suspension bridge' to attack the hive

The video above captures millions of legionate ants (also known as army ants) working together to build a 'suspension bridge' to reach and attack a beehive in the ceiling. The video was recorded by Francisco Boni, an electrical engineer living in Brazil.

The special thing is that the ants do not go directly to the hive, but connect with each other to form a structure like a suspension bridge. The cause of this 'complexity' may be that they cannot carry their prey in an upside down position. So 'building a suspension bridge' will help them to both retrieve prey and move more easily.

Then other ants move on that 'suspension bridge' to attack the hive and capture the prey to bring back to the hive.

After attacking the hive, the ants stole everything in the hive, including larvae, eggs and even adult bees that could not fly out and were trapped in the hive.

The leprechaun ant is an extremely ferocious ant, even among the most feared animals in the world. Thanks to their sharp teeth like tiny swords, army ants can easily devour large and dangerous prey. Along with the ability to attack groups and cannibals, this ant can attack any animal they encounter on the road, regardless of size.

No animal can stand up to army ants if they fall into their territory with their millions, including humans.
