Acer may outperform HP

Taiwan-based president Wang said that by the end of the year, the company will surpass HP in laptop sales. This ambition is not small because even when Acer surpassed Dell, HP has always been the market leader in this segment.

Quote from President Wang, The Wall Street Journal said that Acer's promising success is because it captures market tastes and launches trendy products faster than its rivals.

By the end of the first quarter of this year, Acer had sold a total of 9.5 million laptops compared to HP's 9.47 million. This number will increase even more because of the need to purchase new machines in the new school year in the third quarter and the need for gifts for the fourth quarter holiday.
