According to statistics from the Hanoi University of Science and Technology Security Center (BKIS), there are 5 types of computer viruses spreading strongly on the recent Lunar New Year:
W32.CTFMonF.Worm with 3.36% infection rate, W32.DakNongB.Worm 3.1% infection rate, W32.PerlovegaA.Worm 2.62% infection rate, W32.Dragon.Worm 2.55% and W32.PerlovegaB.Worm 2.43%.
Accordingly, the number of computers infected with viruses from February 15, 2007 (October 28) to February 22, 2007 (June 6) is 514,500.
Among the new viruses in the New Year days, only one virus took advantage of the message to celebrate the new year to spread. This is an internal virus, spread through Yahoo! Messenger with messages that include a malicious link with the content:
