2013 Mac computers will have gigabit wifi
Media has said that Apple has developed a new line of Mac computers for this year, in which the notable feature is that the wifi connection will have a much faster speed than its predecessor versions.
Apple teamed up with Broadcom to integrate gigabit-speed 802.11ac chips into the 2013 Mac model, making the new Mac generation capable of connecting the 5th generation wifi, also known as '5G wifi.'
With 5G wifi, the device will transmit data at a maximum speed of up to 1.3Gbps. This is considered a new important step of the wifi development process.
Last year, Asus became the first computer maker to launch a notebook with integrated 802.11ac connectivity. That is the Asus G75VW.
G75VW was introduced by Asus in April 2012 with a starting price of US $ 1599.99.
