Ultra-thin smartphones worth waiting for this year
Samsung and Apple are considered pioneers in this design, while Chinese brands such as Xiaomi and Vivo are not left out. Here are three ultra-thin smartphones launched this year that promise to attract consumers.
iPhone 17 Air
This phone model is rumored to be only 5 to 6 mm thick. With a thin design, the iPhone 17 Air will only be equipped with a single rear camera sensor, but will still be integrated with a powerful A19 chip, combined with 8 GB of RAM and support for Apple Intelligence features. The product is expected to integrate a 6.65-inch OLED screen with ProMotion technology that allows the refresh rate to change from 1 to 120 Hz.

Galaxy S25 Edge
Samsung's ultra-thin smartphone was briefly introduced at the Unpacked event in January. According to leaked information, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be slightly thicker than the iPhone 17 Air, about 6mm more. Inside, the product will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip customized for the Galaxy platform, 12GB of RAM and a 3,900 mAh battery.

To maintain aesthetics, the device will only have 2 cameras on the back, including the main camera and the ultra-wide camera, while the telephoto camera will be removed. The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to launch in the second half of this year, at the same time as the iPhone 17 Air.
Oppo Find N5
Moving to a completely different design, OPPO will launch the Find N5 foldable smartphone. This phone is 5.8 mm thick when folded and only 4 mm when opened, surpassing models from Apple and Samsung.
