Apple still dominates the ultra-thin notebook market
Research firm Digitimes Research has said that although Windows 8 will be released later this year, helping to create a new wave of ultra-thin notebook models running this platform, Apple will continue to dominate. in the ultra-thin notebook market in 2012.
According to Digitimes Research statistics, the Apple MacBook Air laptop series accounted for 50% of the total ultra-thin notebook shipments worldwide in the past quarter, although other computer manufacturers have been actively involved in the market this.
While there are many expectations for Microsoft Windows 8 platform, the research firm still believes that MacBook Air products will outperform all other Windows-based ultrabooks, including both after Windows 8 has been released.
Digitimes senior analyst Joanne Chien Research showed that Apple's ultra-thin MacBook series (MacBook Air) accounted for 50% of the global total of the ultra-thin notebook market in the second quarter.
By the fourth quarter, MacBook Air shipments will continue to outpace other non-Apple ultra-thin notebooks (including ultrabooks and ultrabook notebooks).
