Design: Multiple antennas

TP-Link tried to include a lot of things in the AX6000. The main indicator light is on top, placed in the middle of the router. Set up Archer AX6000: Quick and easy

Setup takes about 5 minutes. You can use the TP-Link portal or you can use the Tether app on your mobile device. Network performance: Fastest router ever tested

Internet speed from the carrier was 500Mbps at the test house, which is not bad. On a WiFi 6-compatible phone, the AX6000 clocked at 483Mbps when standing 1.5m away from the router. When going to the opposite end of the 149m² test house to a room where the dead zone is common, the speed drops to 442Mbps.

The author also tested the speed on a device not compatible with WiFi 6, a cheap IdeaPad laptop. The author used smart connection feature, which allows the router to decide which band is optimal. Standing next to the router, the speed reaches 398Mbps. In the 'Dead Zone Room', where network drops are common, the speed has dropped, but still reaches a respectable 351Mbps. This is the fastest router I have ever tested.

Since the moment of connecting with the Archer AX6000, the author has not experienced any dead zones or connection problems on any of the devices in the test house. I have a large backyard and even in the corner of the backyard I can still get a clear connection on my laptop. The Archer AX6000 provides a fast, stable connection, does not load slowly even when running multiple gaming and streaming devices. I have no problem running a gaming PC, two PlayStations, and two FireTVs simultaneously.

The AX6000 boasts a 1.8GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM and 128MB of flash memory. Since the Archer AX6000 is a WiFi 6 router, it includes advanced technologies like OFDMA that help to promote faster and more efficient network. Beamforming technology gives it the ability to focus WiFi signals on the devices that matter most to you, while increasing the range that allows the signal to travel further. Upon release, the Archer AX6000 was still awaiting the addition of WPA3 encryption, but the company said on its website that WPA3 will be coming soon.

AX6000 has USB-A and USB-C ports, so you can connect an external hard drive and share files over your network.
