If you are a gamer, you probably shouldn't miss the introduction to the best graphics cards this year compiled by TipsMake.com below.

1. Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090

Reference price: About 47 million VND

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 is the first graphics card to launch from the new RTX 4000 series, and it's also the most powerful GPU as of writing.

In most games we tested, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 was capable of over 100fps at 4K resolution. The GPU was even more impressive in eSports games like Overwatch 2 (which was close to 500fps). You can't get those kinds of speeds anywhere else.

The new DLSS 3 software further boosts frame rates for compatible games, allowing for smoother performance in Cyberpunk 2077 when set to 4K resolution with Ray Tracing enabled. And while the RTX 4090 is arguably overkill for most gamers, it's a great option for content creators who need to render 3D models at lightning speed.

The RTX 4090 won't be for everyone as it's quite expensive and also has high power consumption at startup. But if you want the fastest performance possible from a graphics card, this is the best option for you.

2. Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080

Reference price: 24 million VND

The Nvidia RTX 3080 is Nvidia's new Ampere-based card. It's been improved to make it the best graphics card on the market for 4K gaming.

Highlights include an improved, more efficient 8nm manufacturing process, new RT cores, third-generation Tensor cores, and Micron G6X video memory (VRAM).

The combination of factors makes the RTX 3080 the first GPU to deliver consistent 4K ray tracing at frame rates above or around 60fps and some of the best performance-per-watt stats.

It costs almost half the price of the RTX 2080 Ti, making it a solid choice for any gamer looking to build a top-of-the-line, one-of-a-kind rig. The only minor downside is that it can't be massively overclocked, but with the RTX 3090 set to arrive soon, that time frame could be quite short.

3. Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070

Reference price: 14.5 million VND

If you're into current tech, ray tracing cards that don't require a mortgage, the RTX 3070 is the best deal on Nvidia's new Ampere architecture right now.

While it's not exactly cheap (around $650), it does offer great performance. In fact, it matches and sometimes beats the performance of the older RTX 2080 Ti on the charts. This makes it a perfect choice for 1080p and 1440p buyers who want to enjoy top-notch Ray Tracing graphics without going all the way up to 4K.

With a dual-fan design, it's also much smaller than the RTX 3080, making it a better choice for small PC builds.

4. Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti

Reference price: 13.4 million VND

The RTX 3060 Ti is the cheapest new Ampere card on the market. There's no direct competition from AMD, making it the most affordable new graphics card you can buy. However, the Ti label means it's still a mid-range GPU.

As advertised by Nvidia, the RTX 3060 Ti offers 2080 Super-level performance, which in layman's terms means it can blast through 1080p and 1440p gaming with Ray Tracing turned off and deliver solid FHD performance when you turn it on if you use DLSS.

Real-world testing shows that Nvidia isn't exaggerating. With performance like this, the RTX 3060 Ti should be able to run AAA games for at least a few years.

The only downside is that, like all RTX cards, there isn't much headroom for overclocking.

5. AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT

Reference price: About 15 million VND

The AMD RX 6600 XT is the current top-of-the-line card for those on a budget. It's the cheapest option in AMD's current-generation lineup and is built on the same RDNA 2 architecture as its more expensive siblings.

In our testing, the card couldn't match the performance of Nvidia's more expensive RTX 3060 Ti, especially when it comes to ray tracing. But for the price, it's still a capable card for 1080p gaming.

All modern games, including Doom Eternal, Destiny 2, and Cyberpunk 2077, hit above 60fps in the 1080p benchmark, while FSR-compatible titles (like Godfall) can see further performance boosts thanks to some clever upscaling.

If you don't care about sky-high frame rates or ray tracing capabilities when gaming at 1080p, the budget-friendly price makes the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT a worthy option. However, AMD RDNA 3 graphics cards are coming soon, so it might be worth waiting for their launch before deciding on one of AMD's current options.
