There are 3.4 million malicious attacks on online games every day
Online games are a lucrative piece of land for hackers to attack, steal players' accounts and items and then sell them on the black market.
Security firm Kaspersky announced on October 11 that online games are the fertile ground of cybercrime with more than 3.4 million malicious code attacking every day.

The most popular form of online game attack is email fraud to collect login data, along with Trojans targeting detailed login information.
Once the user account has been hijacked, the thieves access the account to sell the in-game items of the account or even sell the user account to the black market.
Kaspersky Funk, an analyst at Kaspersky, said selling online game items was an integral part of online games. Therefore, it is not surprising that fraud and fraudulent gamers are increasingly popular among cyber criminals.
