The wrong way to charge your iPhone causes the charging cable tip to turn black

To explain the above problem, everything is based on physical rules. When we connect the charger to the power source, regardless of the power backup, the high voltage will spike for a few milliseconds. These, no matter how short, can cause an electrical surge to the iPhone if connected.
