The true rival of MacBook Air comes from Samsung

The Korean electronics company has just released a 13.3-inch Series 9 laptop, with Apple machines but slimmer and lighter than the high-end configuration.

The Korean electronics company has just released a 13.3-inch Series 9 laptop, with Apple machines but slimmer and lighter than the high-end configuration.

Series 9 has a luxurious glossy aluminum housing design, weighs 1.31 kg and is 16.3 mm thin (MacBook Air is 1.32 kg and 17 mm).

The product uses Intel's 2nd generation Core i5 chip with a speed of 1.4 GHz (up to 2.3 GHz via Turbo technology), HD resolution LED screen, 4 GB DDR3 RAM and 128 SSD drive GB. It does not have an optical drive, but in return it has a range of USB 3.0, HDMI, LAN, Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity. The battery comes with a continuous use of 6.5 hours.

Samsung plans to sell Series 9 with Windows 7 Home Premium operating system at a price of $ 1,600, equivalent to the MacBook Air with the highest configuration.
