Yesterday, a Swedish technology site published information and images believed to be of Asus' new ultra-thin notebook models and upgraded to use Intel Core i second generation processors. These models, including U31SD, U31E and U36SD, all have 13. 3-inch screens and are sold later this month in the US.

The Asus U31SD has also begun to appear on Asus' website with the option of Intel Core i5-2410M or Core i3-2310M processor, Intel integrated graphics chip or GeForce GT 520M graphics card with 1GB VRAM. All three models have the same configuration options except for the U31E which will not have a discrete graphics card option.

The U31SD and U36SD models are most notable with a weight of only 1. 76 kg and 1. 58 kg respectively. U36SD also has a thickness of only 1. 9 cm.
