The moon looks majestic when viewed from the International Space Station ISS

Besides the daily task of performing a series of scientific experiments in microgravity conditions every day, astronauts on the International Space Station (ISS) sometimes also take time to admire the view from the space stations. 'million dollar' view as an effective form of stress relief.

NASA astronaut Matthew Dominick recently shared a beautiful image that he accidentally took while admiring the scenery on the International Space Station (ISS). The photo shows a half moon appearing prominently on the picturesque sky background, below are fluffy white clouds creating a mysterious but no less majestic look.

The original purpose of Dominick and his colleagues was to photograph tropical storm Hone active off the coast of Hawaii. But shortly after passing through the storm, the astronauts happened to witness the moon starting to set and this photo was born.

In addition to participating in the research of many different scientific projects while working on the ISS orbiting laboratory, Dominick is also famous as a talented photographer in the field of astrophotography.

The astronaut shared his photographic work with his 17,000 followers on social network X, including a series of images that not only show observations towards Earth and beyond, but also views even inside the space station. Dominick also regularly experiments with different camera settings to test specific photography techniques, such as multiple exposures.

During breaks, ISS astronauts often gather at the Cupola observatory, which can provide them with the best position to see the stunning landscape of Earth as well as space. From here, countless incredible photos from a 'million view' perspective were born.
