Light, a camera company, recently announced that it is developing a smartphone with the back of up to 9 cameras for taking photos. Currently, we are quite familiar with smartphones owned 2, even 3 rear cameras but to 9 cameras, it is really "terrible".
In 2015 Light made the tech world astounded by introducing L16, a compact camera with up to 16 lenses capable of capturing a super-large image of the same quality as a large DSLR.
L16, compact camera has up to 16 lenses.
According to the Washington Post, Light decided to improve the technology to apply to an upcoming smart smartphone but will only have between 5 and 9 lenses. However, this 9-camera cluster is still capable of up to 64 megapixel high-resolution images, clean when shooting in the dark, and the most advanced "font removal".
Currently, Light is testing many prototypes before officially launching a phone with 9 cameras this year.
Light's L16 costs nearly $ 2,000, so you can guess that the phone with 9 cameras may not be as expensive as L16 but certainly not cheap.
