Rumors about the new design of iPhone SE 4 and iPhone 16
Majin Bu account recently posted a tweet on X providing an image of a case believed to be for the iPhone SE 4.
As previous rumors and predictions suggest, the iPhone SE 4 will have a major design overhaul, instead of using the design language of the iPhone SE 3, which is similar to the iPhone 8.
Accordingly, the case photo shows that the iPhone SE 4 may borrow the design of the iPhone 14 with a 6.1-inch OLED screen, instead of the 4.7-inch LCD on the iPhone SE 3.
The 'rabbit ear' containing Face ID also appears for the first time on Apple's cheapest iPhone model, meaning the physical Home key will be eliminated. Previous information said that SE 4 can use a 6.1 inch screen provided by BOE.
On the back, the leaked image shows a single camera sensor accompanied by an LED flash. It seems that the camera lens will be larger, however, there will not be any additional ultra-wide lenses or other lenses to position the product in the low-cost segment. The 48MP camera lens will be a significant upgrade from the previous 12MP camera on the previous iPhone SE.
On the side of the device, the mute button is located above the volume rocker. The Action button replaces the position of the vibration lever on the side of the bezel of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, allowing users to press and hold the button to quickly access and activate functions without need to unlock the screen. This button will respond to the user with vibrations to notify that the function has been turned on/off.
If Action really does not appear on iPhone SE 4, this will certainly be a pity for Apple's next generation low-cost iPhone model, when rumors say all upcoming iPhone 16 will be Equipped with this feature.
Meanwhile, a 3D model believed to be of the iPhone 16 series is also spreading online. According to many sources, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to have larger screen sizes this year, while iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will be the same size as iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
iPhone 16 Pro is said to have a 6.3-inch screen, while iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch screen. In contrast, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have screens of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, respectively.
Apple plans to replace the toggle/vibrate button on iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus with an Action button, which was previously exclusive to iPhone 15 Pro models. However, the image shows that the new Action button will be larger than the button on current iPhone Pros.
It is worth noting that the rear camera has been redesigned, information that has been rumored for a long time, now with additional confirmation on the 3D iPhone 16 model image that has just appeared. The pill-shaped protrusion contains separate wide-angle and ultra-wide lenses on both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, no longer located on the diagonal of the square module like the iPhone 15. The microphone is located between the two lenses, while the camera flash is located on the back of the device, outside the camera module.
In addition to the above details, all four iPhone 16 models are expected to have a completely new button dedicated to taking photos and recording videos - the "Capture button" located on the same side as the power button.
There are rumors that the shutter button will be mechanical rather than capacitive. According to The Information, it will respond to pressure and touch, similar to the shutter button on a professional camera with two stages: light press to focus and more pressure to take the photo. The "Capture button" has functions such as adjusting focus and zoom in addition to activating photo and video capture.
The iPhone 16 series is expected to be released next September. Notably, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max versions have strong camera upgrades, support for Wi-Fi 7 and 5G Advance connectivity, and a cooling system with graphene material. The iPhone 16 series will likely be supported by artificial intelligence, allowing users to interact with chatbots or create photos with text right on the phone.
