Revealing impressive benchmarks of Surface Go 2
Last week, Microsoft officially announced the latest versatile tablet in the low-cost segment called Surface Go 2, but the configuration and performance of the device are not 'cheap' at all.
This statement is not without basis because the benchmark results of Surface Go 2 just published on Geekbench shows the impressive performance level of this device compared to its predecessor Surface Go, especially for the session. The version runs on 8th generation Core m3 processors, as follows:
Benchmarks Surface Go 2 and Surface GoThe Geeekbench 4 scale shows that the Intel Core m3-8100Y CPU version of the Surface Go 2 scored 3989 points for single-core performance and 6773 points in the multi-core performance test. Meanwhile, this score of Surface Go CPU version Pentium 4415Y is only 2020 (single core) and 4004 (multi-core). The difference is largely due to the fact that the Intel Core m3-8100Y processor can accelerate from 1.1Ghz to 3.4Ghz when needed, while the Intel Pentium 4415Y CPU only runs at a fixed clock speed of 1.6 Ghz. .
Especially for single-core performance, the Surface Go 2's 3989 score is significantly larger than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx's 3417 score on the Surface Pro X. However, Qualcomm's CPU model dominates in better multi-core performance. much, at 10,966 compared to 6773 for Intel Core m3-8100Y.
Surface Go 2 has a slim, light design similar to Surface Go, but has completely overcome the disadvantages of the previous version with a larger 10.5-inch PixelSense screen, and a pixel density of 220 ppi. In addition, Microsoft says the Surface Go 2 delivers 64% faster performance than the first generation. Battery life has also been significantly improved, up to 10 hours.
Surface Go 2Not much has changed in other aspects as users are still offered the option of 64GB eMMC or 128GB SSD, 4GB or 8GB RAM with 4G LTE Snapdragon X16 and Bluetooth 5.0.
The Surface Go 2 will be available on December 12 starting at $ 399 for the lowest-end version, bundled with Windows 10 Home S Mode or Windows 10 Pro. The Type Cover accessory is available in Platinum, Black, Poppy Red and Ice Blue.
