Microsoft released an emergency security patch, urging Windows users to install now
Microsoft recently issued a warning and asked Windows users to install the latest security patch the company has just deployed for Internet Explorer.
Microsoft said that in some versions of Internet Explorer, there exists a security hole, if successfully exploited, hackers can run malicious code remotely on the affected device.
Users can be infected simply by visiting malicious websites or clicking on links that contain malicious code in emails.
According to Microsoft, if this vulnerability is successfully exploited, the bad guy can control the whole system. Microsoft did not disclose details about the flaw, but it said it is being actively exploited.
The flaw affects versions of Internet Explorer 9, 10, 11 and all supported Windows versions including Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. Some versions of Windows Server are also affected.
Users can install Microsoft's latest emergency security patch through Windows Update.
Microsoft has also released a fix for Windows Defender, which addresses a vulnerability that exists in the software that, if successfully exploited, could result in a service denial of service (DDoS) that causes the application to fail. .
