Laptops have increased global PC sales

Global PC sales will increase 12.8% in 2008, reaching 302 million product units. However, reaching this prediction, the big company belongs to the laptop, according to the latest IDC report.

In 2009, the growth rate continued to reach over 11%. By 2012, it is expected that the increase in PC sales worldwide will still be double digits, bringing the annual PC consumption to over 426 million.

Consumer laptop prices are lowering and continue to increase PC sales worldwide

Total value of revenue from PC in 2008 is expected to increase 7.4%, reaching nearly 280 billion USD. From 2009 to 2012, revenue will increase by 4% annually, reaching nearly 330 billion USD. Laptops are still the main driving force to boost PC sales in all regions.

Bob O'Donnell, deputy director of IDC's customer, said that consumer laptop prices are lowering and continue to bring PC sales worldwide up.
