Incredible photos of the magic of motion
This year's theme of the One-Shot Contest, the International Photography Awards (IPA) is an image that deeply conveys the concept of motion. Hossein Farmani, the founder of IPA, said that everything is moving, changing and developing. So movement is a great subject to explore through photography.
The competition has attracted many photographers of all professional levels. They captured many amazing scenes of people, animals and machines in various moving states in an artistic way with just a short press.
The overall winner and the first prize in this year's Fine Arts category went to the 'Wild Carrot' photo by Canadian photographer Anne Mason-Hoerter.
To create a work that cannot be captured in the wild, Mason-Hoerter spent more than a month combining more than 50 different images and elements depicting the movements of the carrots at night.
