Download Music From YouTube

Sometimes the music we love just isn't available anywhere except on YouTube. The problem with that is, sometimes you don't have wi-fi or phone signal available to you to get online and steam from YouTube. Luckily there are tools like Viddly YouTube Downloader out there that are able to help you get all the music you love from streaming sites for free. Usually, the process is very simple. First, find the music you love on YouTube. Maybe it's just that one song you can't find anywhere else, or maybe you want to compile a whole offline playlist from YouTube videos.

Either way, copy the link for every track you want to download to your clipboard or a document. After that, open up the downloader and simply paste the links into it. The downloader does the rest. It will download every track you have found and save each one to your computer's hard drive in whatever format you want. Now you have all the music you love in one place and have absolutely no need for any cell service or internet connection. Perfect.

Streaming Services

If you do have cell service, in-flight wifi, or another internet connection, there are plenty of streaming services available to use. Most of the top streaming services offer a free version which will give you pretty decent access to a huge selection of music from around the world. There are drawbacks with free versions, though. For example, on some streaming services the free versions play adverts every couple of songs.

A bit annoying, but probably not enough to make you turn off completely!  One feature we did find annoying however is the inability to create playlists on free streaming services. If you have a bit of spare cash, consider upgrading to one of these streaming sites paid versions. You will get access to more music (and podcasts) and be able to create your own playlists, skip tracks whenever you want, and even save music for offline listening.

Get Great Headphones

This is something not enough people talk about, or maybe not enough people realize. Amazing headphones make so much difference when traveling. Ever been on a plane? There's always that constant hum and whirr of the plane in the background, no matter where you are on board. There is only one cure for this disturbance and that is noise-canceling headphones. With a pair or set of noise-canceling headphones, you will be able to block out the ambient noise of any kind of travel, leaving you with a much deeper and richer listening experience.

Great headphones like these can block out the sound of other travelers, crying babies, and annoying hotel guests. We seriously recommend investing in great headphones. Once you've tried them you'll never go back to regular cheap headphones again!

Phone or MP3 Player?

This is a great question, and to be honest there isn't really a right answer. Both have their merits. Most people these days travel with one smartphone that also contains all their music. This is great but has its drawbacks. Phones tend to be used a lot, and therefore the battery can run down quickly. Taking a separate audio device can help with this as many of them boast many hours of battery. The only downside we found is that sometimes carrying two devices is a little awkward.

Battery Packs Are Essential

Whichever device you end up using for your music needs, you'll probably eat up a load of the battery over your trip. Annoyingly, lots of airplanes, trains, and even cabins on ships don't have power sockets. Running out of battery power and being left with no music is a disaster! A USB battery pack can usually hold enough power to charge a smartphone four times over, so if your device usually gives you 12 hours of play-time, you can extend that to 48 hours with no mains power. We never travel without one.

Take these tips and stock yourself up with great music for your next trip. A little bit of preparation means you'll never go thirsty for music on your travels! Enjoy your traveling and definitely enjoy your tunes.
