How to Make an Automatic Piston Door in Minecraft
Prepare
Start playing the game in Creative mode. Although you can make an automatic Piston door in Survival mode, it is very time consuming to find the necessary resources and craft the components, unless you have the items available.
Add the necessary components to the equipment bar. You will need the following items to create an automatic Piston door:
Redstone (Redstone)
Redstone Torches (Redstone Torches)
Cobblestone (Cobblestone, or a similar solid mass such as wood)
Sticky Pistons
Stone Pressure Plates (Stone pressure sensor plate)
Looking for a door job. If there is already a shelter to make a door, you need to go to that place. If you don't have one, look for somewhere flat. Once you find the desired spot, you can move on to the next step of placing the wire.
Place the conductor
Dig a hole 2x2x3 in size. You need to dig a hole two blocks deep, two blocks long, and three blocks wide.
Dig two wire trenches. When looking at the three-block-wide side, you need to dig a two-block-long trench from the middle block, then remove the top block in front of you. Repeat this step on the other side of the hole.
Place redstone at the bottom of the hole. You will create a 2x3 redstone grid.
Place redstone torches at the end of each trench. This torch will be placed on the raised block at the end of each trench.
Spread red stone along the trench. You need to place two redstones at the bottom of each trench to connect the redstone torch to the redstone located at the bottom of the hole.
Place the cobblestone block above the redstone torches. You will probably need to place a block next to the torch first, then attach a second block to it to do it successfully.
You can also use wood or other solid blocks.
Fill holes and trenches. You can place the block level with the ground to fill the hole. Once you've filled in the hole and everything looks level (except for the blocks above the redstone torch), you can continue with the step of making the door.
Make doors
Equipped with sticky piston. Select Sticky Piston in the equipment bar.
Place the Sticky Piston in front of each raised block. Face one of the blocks covering the redstone torch, place the Sticky Piston in front of that block, and repeat this step with the remaining raised block.
Place the Sticky Piston on top of the two Sticky Pistons. Face one of the sticky Pistons, select the one on top, then repeat this step for the remaining Piston.
Place redstone on top of each raised block. This is the step that activates the Sticky Piston at the top.
Place the door components in front of each Sticky Piston. You need to place a total of four solid blocks (such as cobblestone) in the middle of the Sticky Piston frame.
Place two pressure plates in front and back of the door. You need to place the pressure sensor plate on the ground, directly in front and behind each door component post.
Try using the door. Stand on both pressure sensor discs at the same time to cause the door to open, then walk through the door. You should be able to walk through without any problem.
You can build something around the door to hide its mechanism.
