How to change the game mode Minecraft
You are new to Minecraft and then, notice that something is a bit empty while exploring the landscape of the game. However, you see people playing Minecraft with many different elements, such as animal mobs and vines. So where are they?
Certainly they are still in the game. The only problem is that you are playing Minecraft in the wrong game mode (game mode). Here's how to change Minecraft game mode and switch from Creative mode to Survival.
The game mode in Minecraft
There are 3 main Minecraft game modes and 2 less common modes:
- Creative
- Survival
- Adventure
- Spectator
- Hardcore
How to change game mode in Minecraft
Switching between 3 main game modes in Minecraft is very simple. Thanks to the similarity of the Minecraft game on mobile devices, computers and consoles, the following steps will work on all devices (with some exceptions).
For best results, make sure your Minecraft version is fully updated before continuing.
How to switch to Creative mode
Minecraft's Creative mode is an option you'll find when launching the game.
When setting up the game, click Play> Create New> Create New World . Here, click the Default Game Mode drop-down menu and select Creative.
You can also switch to Creative mode in Minecraft with the /gamemode
command:
/gamemode creative
A faster command is also available:
/gamemode 1
Switch to Survival mode in Minecraft
When creating a new game, you will find Survival mode in the setting screen. Click Play> Create New> Create New World , then select Default Game Mode> Creative .
To switch to Survival mode in Minecraft, use the command:
/gamemode survival
You can also use:
/gamemode 0
How to switch to Adventure mode in Minecraft
Adventure mode is not an option set in Minecraft. Instead, you'll need to manually switch to Adventure mode when the game is active. For example, you may have built a detailed world for your friends to play.
Adventure mode allows you to limit what they can do; To prevent this world from being destroyed before reaching the goal, switch to Adventure mode with:
/gamemode adventure
Also, use shorter:
/gamemode 2
How to change to Hardcore and Spectator mode
In addition to the standard 3 game modes, Minecraft Java Edition also provides 2 more options:
Hardcore
With only one network available, this is the hardest mode. Once selected, there's no way to switch to a more friendly Minecraft mode. Similarly, you cannot switch to hardcore mode.
To create a Minecraft hardcode game, in the Create New World screen, select Game Mode: Hardcore . Note that Allow Cheats and Bonus Chest are not available, and this world is deleted if you fail.
Spectator
This allows you to fly around the Minecraft world and observe. Spectator mode cannot be integrated with any object or mob.
Spectator mode can be accessed using /gamemode spectator
or by 'dying' in hardcore mode. You can also switch to the Spectator game mode from Creative by pressing F3
+ N
Press this key combination again to switch back.
A keyboard command may also be used:
/gamemode 3
