From August 24, 2018, Huawei has registered its name of the Hongmeng operating system with the Chinese intellectual property management office and has been granted a license for use from May 14, 2019 until May 13. / 2029.
Hongmeng OS is also an open operating system, optimized for Linux, which can be used on all devices in Huawei's ecosystem, from smartphones to laptops, tablets, TVs, cars and Smart wearable device. Hongmeng has its own app market called App Gallery.
Hongmeng uses the new microkernel architecture so if the Android application is recompiled to run on Huawei's operating system, it will increase performance by up to 60%.
