Free online visit to the Louvre
The Louvre Museum - the world famous art gallery of Mona Lisa has recently opened its free online tour through the museum's website, after more than a month of closure due to the widespread Covid-19 pandemic in France.
This is an opportunity for art lovers around the world to admire the famous artworks at home without having to set foot in France.
The Louvre is a museum displaying artifacts of ancient civilizations, Islamic art and European art from the thirteenth to the mid-nineteenth centuries, located in Paris, France. This is the place where famous works such as Venus of the Statue, Samothrace, Mona Lisa, etc. attract millions of tourists each year.
Currently, the Louvre offers free screen visitors with museum areas including The Advent of the Artist, Remains of the Louvre's Moat and Egyptian Antiquities Galerie d'Apollon. Each area is designed with its own style of sightseeing, each work can be enlarged to make it easy to see and complete with information in English. Unfortunately, many areas of the museum are not included in this online tour, especially where the Mona Lisa is displayed.
