Ubuntu - like SUSE Linux and Fedora, two upcoming Linux versions will also be downloaded from Windows Store - running in sanbox with Windows 10 and providing common command line utilities as a standalone, shared install Access to files and hardware with Windows 10.

The specific message from Windows Central is as follows:

To install Ubuntu, users will have to navigate to Control Panel (not the new Windows 10 Settings application) and select the Turn Windows features menu on or off. There, you can select "Windows Subsystem for Linux", it will allow Ubuntu to work after rebooting.
