The specific message from Windows Central is as follows:
"The appearance of Ubuntu, and SUSE, are part of Microsoft's recent effort to" get along "with Linux and the open source community is growing, starting with the emergence of Windows. Subsystem for Linux in 2016, allows users to use the Bash shell from within Windows 10. Note that this Ubuntu version is limited to Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, and will not be released publicly until later this year. If you're running a Fall Creators Update computer through the Windows Insider Program, you can download and try Ubuntu from the Windows Store ".
To install Ubuntu, users will have to navigate to Control Panel (not the new Windows 10 Settings application) and select the Turn Windows features menu on or off. There, you can select "Windows Subsystem for Linux", it will allow Ubuntu to work after rebooting.
