Download Bomb Error appears on many browsers, Edge does not
But Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer are immune.
The release of Google Chrome 67 paved the way for the 'Download Bomb' bug that was exploited last year and has been fixed on Chrome 65. This error also appears in other browsers like Firefox, Vivaldi, Opera and Brave.But Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer are immune.
Download Bomb is a bug that causes the browser to download a lot and freeze the page using the JavaScript Blob method and windows.navigator.msSaveOrOpenBlob function to download.This trick is supported by many sites to force users to call support.
The freezing page forces users to call technical support
Google confirmed that this error was fixed, but the Chrome 67 update brought it back.Bleeping Computer has run many browsers and found it all affected, except Edge and IE.
If you encounter this error, turn off the page as quickly as possible because Download Bomb only works when the page has been fully loaded.Or if you do not want to see this error, you can temporarily switch to using Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer.
