Cycling at night can be dangerous, especially in crowded urban areas. And if you fall down on the road, it is also an unpredictable consequence. So, the Cosmo Connected startup is building a smart lamp that fits behind your bike helmet.

Eight LEDs - four red, four yellow - are placed in an oval device. By default, the lights are set to "always on" so others can see you clearly in the dark. An integrated accelerator inside the helmet will tell you when to brake, and warn cyclists, drivers and people walking around with stronger light.

Cosmo's smart light works with your phone's companion app. Here, you can activate the "emergency alert" to blink or create a left and right signal by pressing the screen or clicking on the optional remote control. The device can also track your journey first and activate the signals automatically when turning over GPS tracking. Cosmo Connected said the device's built-in accelerator will act as a detector, informing friends and family in case of an accident. All of these features are free, although there is an optional service (however it is unclear whether you have to pay for this) can also be set up to notify emergency rescue workers. level.

Cosmo Connected will be released in September for $ 60. It is a continuation of Cosmo Moto, a brake light connected to motorcyclists - equipment received funding on Kickstarter in November last year. Accessories for this motorcycle helmet have a similar set of features and are available in black, glossy and matte black for $ 119.
