Computer manufacturers benefit from "tradeoffs". For example, the Apple MacBook 13 inch (aluminum case) is beautifully designed but not everyone is willing to spend a large sum of money to own Apple "class". Meanwhile, the "low-cost" HP Pavilion dv3z mobile phone is being unconvinced by consumer-centric customers operating by AMD's inefficient hardware components. With the Aspire 3935, Acer has given up the design with traditional plastic that makes the body heavy and bulky to own a shiny aluminum cover. This is also the first Acer laptop to own this new "cork class".
The easy "mold" feature of the metal - the aluminum cover - gives Aspire 3935 a "slender" body, 2.54 cm thick, with a width and depth of 32.25 cm and 23.87 cm. Compared to the 13-inch MacBook, the Aspire 3935 is not inferior. Moreover, its weight is lighter (only about 1.9 kg).
The 13.3-inch wide screen of Aspire 3935 is very user-friendly, giving users a lot of work and entertainment space due to the good display of 720p HD video format on the background of 16: 9 ratio and resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, compared to MacBook and HP Pavilion dv3z (1,280 x 800 pixels).
The body is only about 2.5 cm thin, equivalent to the MacBook Air.

Another new feature in Aspire 3935's design compared to Acer laptop models is the floating keyboard with large spacing keys like the MacBook keyboard, but the keys are larger and more comfortable. Meanwhile, the touchpad of the device is smaller than the models mentioned above. And like in the Macbook, this is a "multi-touch" touchpad. Users can simultaneously scroll, expand the folder window or the working text frame, combining the movement of multiple fingers. However, the long-term sensitivity and comfort of the touchpad on the 13-inch MacBook is still appreciated. There is one point that users will complain about is that the 2 mouse buttons are "quite hard".
The device pleases a lot of users but is also the subject of controversy among a large number of other users: Dual-layer DVD burners, because without the Aspire 3935 optical drive, it will certainly be thinner. However, with this drive, you have the added convenience of watching movies from a DVD or installing application software directly from the installation disc.
One shortcoming, Aspire 3935 has not been equipped with Acer output HDMI port like HP dv3z. But it still has all the features and necessary connections like 3 USB ports, a 1.3 Megapixel webcam, a "5 in 1" multi-card reader, as well as a 250 GB HDD.
With a price of about 1,000 USD, many people believe that Aspire 3935 is only equipped with old generation microprocessors, such as Intel Santa Rosa Core 2 Duo T6400 2.0 GHz on Gateway UC7807u or AMD Turion 64 ZM-84 2,3 GHz of dv3z. But Acer has equipped this model with a slightly more "high-end" processor, Intel's Penryn Core 2 Duo P7350 2.0 GHz, although still inferior to the Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 of the 13-inch MacBook. With the 3-GB "relay" of RAM, Aspire 3935 has "surpassed" the 13-inch MacBook in a 7-second video format conversion test faster, but is only on par with the execution time. Lenovo U330.
Aspire 3935 is also the fastest machine in the test running a Photoshop CS4 Script, but also only 1 second faster than the Lenovo U330. As for the CineBench R10 graphics processing test, Aspire 3935 uses integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics card, which is not very satisfactory, not comparable to the MacBook or even the Acer 6930G "brother".
The most impressive point in the performance of Aspire 3935 is the battery life. Aspire 3935 is a laptop with the best battery life compared to test models that only use 4-cell batteries with a capacity of 39 Watt. Although the MacBook's battery has a capacity of 45 Watt, the 4900 Lenovo U330 and Gateway UC7807u can't maintain up to 4 hours and 50 minutes like the Aspire 3935. And the HP dv3z uses 9-cell battery with twice the capacity. Aspire 3935 also used only continuously for only 4 hours 9 minutes. In addition, there are 8-cell batteries included but only distributed in the European market.
Some laptop companies in Vietnam are accepting orders for this machine for about 1,000 to 1,100 USD, while the US price is about 900 USD.
