Apple plans to bring a notch and Face ID displays to MacBook models
Rabbit ears' screen and Face ID have been no stranger to iPhones in particular and smartphones in recent years. However, the world of laptop is completely different.
There are quite a lot of laptop-inspired gadgets like monolithic aluminum shell, fingerprint sensor or ultra-thin screen border. And perhaps soon we will see the eyes of both the notch and Face ID on the laptops, the first of which will be the MacBook.
A new patent submitted by Apple to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Management Office (USPTO) has revealed in detail the plans for Apple to introduce a notch-style screen design and Face ID from iPhone for MacBook laptop product line launched in the future.
As you can see in the illustration, there's not much difference in the overall appearance of the MacBook, still a slim frame with a familiar clamshell folding structure. Notably, the area circled, is the notch (rabbit ears), which contains the webcam and the sensor sensor of the device. Apple says it will have at least 1 'infrared light pattern recognition module' to support Face ID identity verification. success on the recently released iPhones, starting with the iPhone X.
In addition, the Apple patent refers to an all-in-one computer model, most likely the iMac, which will also be equipped with similar screen features and designs. .
Of course there is no guarantee that a MacBook or iMac will have a notch and Face ID because this is still a patent after all. However, the appearance of these new factors will contribute to creating a more positive breeze for the traditional laptop market which has been quite bleak for many years.
