8 new features are about to be updated on Facebook
In this week's F8 developer conference, Facebook introduced a variety of interesting and updated features that users will soon experience soon. So what are those features? Please read the following article below.
1. Dating features like Tinder
Facebook wants to establish a foundation for "long-term relationships" by allowing users to search their half on the platform. Basically, this feature allows you to create your own Facebook profile and this profile is only visible to those who also use the dating feature. After that, Facebook will connect users together based on interests, mutual friends and common interests. Its messaging feature will also be separate and only available for 'safety reasons'.

2. Crisis Response feature
Facebook's crisis feedback toolkit includes features that can help in emergencies and disasters. The feature will provide information as well as update users about a specific crisis, thereby helping users easily monitor and see the happenings of disaster situations.
3. Clear History
Facebook will launch a new security feature in the next few months with the name Clear History. Accordingly, Clear History allows users to view and delete all data that Facebook has collected from websites and applications using analytics and advertising tools of this social network. Of course, Facebook will still share analytics data with other applications and websites, but does not store information in a way that can identify you personally.
4. Watch Party feature
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduced a new feature to be updated on Facebook called the Watch Party. Facebook says Watch Party will make it easier for you to watch videos with your friends, for example, group members can watch videos while commenting and interacting with each other. Any public video on Facebook can be added to the Watch Party, including live video.
5. Video call feature on Instagram
You may not know, Facebook bought Instagram and perhaps for this reason, the tech giant will add video chat features like Facebook Messenger to Instagram.
6. AR effects on Instagram
Facebook has announced the augmented reality AR camera effects platform at last year's F8 conference, but this feature has only been applied to Facebook and Messenger. The good news is that AR augmented reality camera effects are about to dock on Instagram, allowing users to use fun filters and effects.
7. Group video chat feature on WhatsApp
Not only Instagram, Facebook also announced the addition of other social media platforms they own, WhatsApp. The group video chat feature will dock on WhatsApp in the coming months. Thus, WhatsApp users will be able to make similar video call group calls on Skype.
8. Translation features via M Translations
Previously, Facebook used a third-party service like Microsoft Bing to help users translate languages on Facebook or Messenger. But now, the social networking giant will use its own M Translations tool through the Marketplace feature to translate user conversations, remove language barriers, and allow users to communicate with easier each other on Messenger.
The translation feature will be released this year for users in the United States, but will only support two languages, English and Spanish, when it is first released.
