What is ThinQ in LG G7 ThinQ?
LG just announced the G7 ThinQ smartphone but now, what does ThinQ really mean is still a mysterious question.
Anyone who has heard about LG's ThinQ - probably sounds like the word 'Think' - will think of smart networking devices (IoT devices) like dishwashers, refrigerators, things. Air or even a vacuum cleaner, previously named ThinQ.
On LG G7 and V30S, when ThinQ first appeared on mobile, it would be a little different. ThinkQ is also LG's name for AI on the phone and is being included in existing phone cameras.
Specifically, LG's ThinQ AI is responsible for identifying when you take a photo, adjusting the settings when shooting to make it more beautiful. With G7, it can identify 18 objects and objects, including people, flowers, pets, food, sunset, sunrise, landscape, city scene, children, animals, drinks, fruits, sky, beach, snow, people, poor lighting and basic auto mode.
It seems that the same way as the camera's auto-shooting mode, but no camera auto mode identifies many objects, subjects and scenes.
Other smartphones use their own AI to identify through camera lenses, but few have the ability to adjust camera settings based on what the object is. Huawei's P20 has an AI that adjusts camera settings but not in the US. Often, the AI and the phone camera will provide information about what you are pointing the lens to be able to search without typing.
Experience ThinQ AI camera at demo event before LG claims to show very good capability, automatically identify when pointing the camera at tree and then display 'green', 'leaf'. Even though I don't know it is a tree, the keywords are correct, the photos are also very beautiful. This is a GIF image when taking a test with ThinQ.
