More dangerous, W32.CoinMiner also has the ability to update and download other malicious code to steal personal information, delete data and even perform targeted attacks APT.
W32.CoinMiner attacked the existing SMB computers, the vulnerability once exploited by WannaCry virus to infect more than 300,000 computers in the world in a matter of hours. Although discovered and warned since 2017, up to now, there are still more than 50% of computers not yet patched this SMB vulnerability, according to Bkav's statistics.
According to security experts, if the computer is running slowly, users should download and install antivirus software to handle the virus and ensure the safety of the device.
