According to The Information, the ultra-thin iPhone may be launched in 2025 as an addition to the iPhone 17 series. This "super product" has the internal code name D23, which could be a landmark design like the iPhone. X in 2017.
Along with the Face ID facial scanner, OLED screen and glass back, the D23 is expected to have a thinner chassis and a smaller Dynamic Island cutout on the screen. Previously, there were rumors that Apple would replace the Dynamic Island area with a "punched" detail - expected on the iPhone 16 line.
Other changes will include: the rear camera will move from the top left corner to the top center of the back; The screen will be somewhere between 6.12 - 6.69 inches.
